What are SIPs ?

Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are a high-performance building system for residential and light commercial construction. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, typically oriented strand board (OSB). SIPs are manufactured under factory controlled conditions and can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design. Without bowed lumber, straight and plumb surfaces enable faster installation of cabinets, doors, windows, millwork, tile, and floor surfaces. In one product, a SIP provides three essential functions (Structure, Insulation, & Air barrier) that are crucial to any building’s structure. The structural integrity of a building is highly dependent on the quality of the materials used in construction. SIPs are strong, sturdy, and durable.
